  • Jackolyn Behan
    Owner

    Co-owner Jackolyn Behan is a SJSU graduate who majored in Design, Music, Humanities and Psychology. She is a passionate co-owner in Js’ Old Town Bistro, especially focused on creating a distinctive, casual dining experience that can be enjoyed and savored by guests.

    She has been active in creating and opening businesses, including being part the design team originating ‘The Bodega’ restaurant/live music venue in Campbell California, ‘Innsifree Equestrian Center’ in Truckee and also opening Divine9golf.com for inbound golf travelers in 2006.

    After 12 years as Director of Sales & Advertising for a local casino corporation, she purchased the old Mercantile building at 30 Pike Street in 2005, working with partner Jerry Massad and teams of craftsmen to restore the building, opening as J’s Bistro in 2007.

    In addition to J’s & Divine9golf.com, Jackie loves to golf, hike with her dogs, bike, dine, travel and design new things. She is an advocate for animal welfare and enjoys hanging out with family and friends.

  • Jerry Massad
    Owner

    Owner Jerry Massad has the restaurant business in his blood, the bay area native hails from a long line of restauranteurs. After moving to the Reno area in the late 70s, Jerry worked in several popular restaurants and bars. In 1980, opportunity knocked, and he opened the Cracker Box in Carson City. 35 years have passed and the diner is more popular than ever. In 2007, he and business partner Jackolyn Behan opened Js’ Old Town Bistro.

    Jerry’s passion for the restaurant business can only be matched by his passion for golf, great food and wine, and travel to places where he can indulge those passions.

  • Tia Spencer
    Manager

    Tia Spencer is a key member of the Js’ team and has been with us since opening day. Tia takes great pride in ensuring that all of our customers have a great experience. Planning a special event? Tia is your go to person to pull it all together for you. When she’s not at Js’, Tia enjoys gardening, barbequing, spending time with her kids (including twins!) and dreaming about her next trip to Hawaii! Tia lives with her family in the Dayton area.
